About Walker Buehler

Walker Anthony Buehler (born July 28, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). In college, he played baseball for the Vanderbilt Commodores, with whom he won the 2014 College World Series Most Outstanding Player award.

Buehler was drafted by the Dodgers in the first round of the 2015 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut in 2017 and quickly established himself as one of the best young pitchers in the league. In 2018, he finished second in the NL Rookie of the Year Award voting.

Injury Update: Tommy John Surgery

In June 2022, Buehler underwent Tommy John surgery, a procedure to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow. He is expected to miss the entire 2023 season.
