LOUISVILLE Ky. (Aug. 15, 2024) – Today, Old Forester, the First Bottled Bourbon, announces the highly-anticipated return of its most coveted expression, Birthday Bourbon, with its 22nd vintage-dated release.
Created in 2002 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of founder George Garvin Brown's birthday, Old Forester Birthday Bourbon has become an annual tradition among bourbon enthusiasts.
This year's release features a blend of three different high-rye bourbons aged 10, 11, and 12 years in the brand's rickhouses in Louisville, Ky. According to Master Blender Jackie Zykan, the result is a complex and flavorful bourbon with notes of dried fruit, caramel, and spice.
The 2024 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon is bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) and will be available at select retailers nationwide beginning Sept. 2 at a suggested retail price of $150. Only 120,000 bottles will be produced.
