Flooding Forces Rescues Closures As Water Pours Into Casinos Streets

More Deaths in Las Vegas as Monsoon Rains Pummel Tourist Hotspot

Flooding Forces Rescues, Closures as Water Pours into Casinos, Streets

Two Dead as Flash Floods Strike Again, Cleanup Continues After Second Widespread Inundation

Las Vegas has been hit by a second round of devastating flash floods, just two weeks after casinos and hotels in the city were inundated with water. The torrential monsoon rains on Thursday night once again flooded streets and caused water to cascade from casino ceilings, forcing evacuations and closures.

Tragically, two people have died as a result of the flooding. One driver was rescued from their submerged car, while others were forced to abandon their vehicles as the water levels rose rapidly.

The flooding is the latest in a series of extreme weather events to hit Las Vegas in recent months. In July, a heat wave sent temperatures soaring to record highs, and just last week, a windstorm left thousands of people without power.

Cleanup efforts are underway, but the city is still reeling from the impact of the floods. Casinos and businesses are closed, and many streets remain impassable. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
