A faulty update from cybersecurity provider CrowdStrike has bricked computers running Windows across the globe, according to reports. The outage began on Friday and has impacted businesses and individuals alike.
Airlines Grounded
At least three major US Airlines, American, United, and Delta, have grounded all flights due to the outage, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The outage has also affected other critical infrastructure, including hospitals and financial institutions.
CrowdStrike Responds
CrowdStrike has acknowledged the outage and is working to resolve the issue. The company has released a statement saying that it is "aware of reports of a potential issue with a recent update" and is "actively investigating."
