Detroit cop Axel Foley is back in action in the new film 'Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley,' which hits Netflix on July 3.
Eddie Murphy reprises his iconic role as Foley in the fourth installment of the 'Beverly Hills Cop' franchise. The film follows Foley as he returns to Beverly Hills to investigate a threat to his daughter's life. Along the way, he teams up with his old friends from the Beverly Hills Police Department, including Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton).
"It's been a long time coming, but I'm finally back in Beverly Hills," Murphy said in a statement. "I can't wait for audiences to see what we've been working on." The 'Beverly Hills Cop' franchise has been a box office success, with the first three films grossing over $700 million worldwide. The new film is expected to be just as popular, with fans eager to see Murphy back in action as Foley.
In addition to Murphy, Reinhold, and Ashton, the film also stars Taylour Paige, Kevin Bacon, and James Franco. The film is directed by Mark Molloy and written by Will Beall.
